Meet our 2020 Women of Country Beneficiary!

Landon Ockerlander

The Ockerlanders are a very strong family who have been through so much in the past few years. In the summer of 2016, Mike had an accident with a riding lawn mower and had the majority of his left foot amputated. After a year of intense rehabilitation they had depleted their savings and were forced to take out loans to help make ends meet because Mike was unable to work for almost a full year. In 2017, Chrissy and Mike had some concerns with Landon’s development and after months and months of testing and multiple doctor opinions Landon was diagnosed with autism in 2018. Thanks to the loving support of his parents, family, teachers and therapists, Landon has made so many advances in the past year socially and academically which makes the already devastating leukemia diagnosis even more devastating. Landon will have some treatments at home but will also need to go to Children’s Hospital two times a week for chemotherapy which will put an even tighter strain on this family, not only emotionally but financially as well.

100% of proceeds from the Women of Country will benefit Landon and his family. If you cannot attend, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the family or donating to the raffle.
